Verenigd Onder Studentenbelang

From the academic year of 2024-2025 onwards, the political chairs of student umbrella associations will not have a set seat in the University Student Council (USC) any longer. Instead of the set seats, all fourteen seats will be divided through elections. Because of this change, the student party Verenigd Onder Studentenbelang (V.O.S.) has been established. This party came to be through the collaboration between student the umbrella associations of Nijmegen, SOFv (study), NSSR (sports), CODC (culture), B.O.S. (conviviality), and CSN (religion). V.O.S. aims to improve active student life and to preserve it through co-determination at the university.

Through various aspects that you come across in student life, V.O.S. tries to bring about positive change and is committed to the interest of students. They strive for a safe, sustainable, diverse and inclusive campus for everyone. In the academic year of 2024-2025, both SOFv’s political chair and vice-political chair have managed to get a seat which allows them to represent SOFv and her member organisations within the USC.
